- Analyzed over $550M in spend to identify targeted sourcing opportunities
- Both a contract manufacturer and brand owner that had grown through acquisition causing very high SKU and vendor fragmentation
- Managed sourcing process for 19 categories with $180M in combined spend. Categories included:
- Aerosol caps
- Valves and Actuators
- Bottles and Sprayers
- BYK
- Isopropanol
- Propellants
- Mineral Oil
- Glycol Ether
- Solvents
- Silane
- Uniforms
- Shipping Supplies
- MRO
- Corrugated
Outcome
- ~$20M in total annualized savings
- Retained almost all incumbent suppliers, negating new vendor testing procedures and qualifications
- Ensured negotiation and implementation of all new supplier agreements
- Identified several historic pricing errors totaling more than $500K when analyzing data
- Designed new, more efficient buying organization residing under the SVP of Supply Chain allowing for the elimination of 8 FTE’s
- Completed multiple low cost country vendor identification and engagement studies outside of China
